It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Yesterday we got the camera out and took a few shots of Courtney and Phoebe sitting by the Christmas tree, hoping we would get the perfect photo for our Christmas card.  Sometimes it was quite comical and other times they were testing my patience.  We got a few really cute photos and A LOT of ones we ended up deleting.  It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Dennis house and here are some pictures of our homemade photo session!

Decorating for Christmas

This year we got started on our Christmas decorating early. I knew if we didn't get it done this past weekend, then it wasn't going to get finished. My final exams are right after Thanksgiving and we won't be having much spare time between now and then. Everything is finished except for a wreath I'm making to go on the front door. I can't wait to post a picture of it on here when I'm finish with it. It was such a cute idea that I got from Christmas Village and it's very colorful! I thought about buying the wreath there, but it was $89 and I wasn't paying that much for a wreath when I could make the same thing for a fraction of the price. Hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas! It will be here before you know it!

We have a new snowman that we purchased to go on our front porch and Courtney loves it! When we hook up our new santa inflatable to go in the front yard, we will be able to hook up the snowman so he can light up.

Our living room. The two green shaped trees and the red "joy" sign on the mantle are new this year. Another great buy I found at Christmas Village!

Cute picture!

Courtney was getting tired and Phoebe was getting tired listening to Courtney.

Odds and Ends

I thought I would add a few random pics that I had recently taken.

Courtney being a "big girl" and helping mommy dust.

I didn't get the best angle on this photo, but Courtney is petting Phoebe.

A Day At The Zoo!

Last Friday on Halloween I took Courtney to the Nashville Zoo.  Courtney had a great time looking at all the animals and especially feeding the goats in the petting zoo.  We both had a fun time and we can't wait until we go back hopefully in the spring.

Courtney would pick up dead leaves off the ground and feed them to the goats.  I was actually surprised she wasn't scared of them.

Feeding the goats some more leaves.  The goats LOVED Courtney and followed her everywhere.

Courtney loved all the scary monsters they had out at the zoo for Halloween.

Looking at the crane

Courtney really like the meerkats and they liked her too!

Cookout at the Worley's

Our friends Matt and Melissa invited us up to their house for a cookout last month and we all (including the kids) had a blast.  Since I've been REALLY busy I never did post pictures of our fun afternoon/evening we had at their house.  Matt and Melissa live next to Ft. Campbell army base in Kentucky since Matt is in the special forces division of the army.  Matt will be deployed in January and won't return home until September, so we've been trying to spend some extra time with them before he leaves.  Enjoy the pics!
